Die riesigen Kalksteinh\u00f6hlen sind eine der Hauptattraktionen Malaysias. Daher sollte man sich recht fr\u00fch auf den Weg machen, im Laufe des Vormittags kann es dann schon mal etwas voller werden. Bereits bei der Ankunft f\u00e4llt einem die riesige ca. 40 Meter hohe goldene Statue auf, die den Aufgang zur Haupth\u00f6hle zu bewachen scheint. In den Batu Caves befinden sich mehrere Hindu Tempel, so wird uns beim Betreten der Treppe jeweils ein Sarong gereicht, den wir uns um die H\u00fcfte wickeln sollen, da beim Betreten von heiligen Orten des Hinduismus stets die Knie bedeckt sein m\u00fcssen.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph {\"textColor\":\"very-dark-gray\"} --><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-very-dark-gray-color\">Um in die Haupth\u00f6hle zu gelangen, muss man die \u00fcber 270 Treppenstufen \u00fcberwinden. Kein leichtes Unterfangen bei \u00fcber 30 Grad und 90% Luftfeuchtigkeit. Oben angekommen wird man jedoch von einem grandiosen Ausblick belohnt und befindet sich am Eingang einer imposanten Kalksteinformation, die den Eingang zur Haupth\u00f6hle formt. Im Inneren wird man \u00fcberw\u00e4ltigt von der Gr\u00f6\u00dfe der H\u00f6hlen. Es tropft von der bestimmt 80 Meter hohen Decke und hier und da sieht man im Augenwinkel eine Fledermaus vorbei flattern. Wir beobachten ein wenig das bunte Treiben der Gl\u00e4ubigen, welche die Tempel und Schreine zum beten besuchen, bevor wir uns wieder nach drau\u00dfen begeben, um uns in einem leckeren indischen Restaurant vor den H\u00f6hlen einen Tisch zum Mittagessen zu ergattern.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:gallery {\"ids\":[538,536,537],\"linkTo\":\"media\"} --><\/p>\n<ul
