Weiter ging es also in Richtung Kuala Lumpur. Und was schaut man sich dort mit als erstes an? Wahrscheinlich die Petronas Twin Tower. Vor allem nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit bietet sich hier eine beeindruckend leuchtende Szenerie. Empfehlenswert sind die Wasserspiele am Symphony Lake auf der Rückseite der Petronas Tower. Hier bekommt man ein Wasser- und Lichtspiel musikalisch untermalt geboten, sehr schön anzusehen.

Wer nach oben auf die Brücke möchte, welche die beiden Türme verbindet, der sollte wissen , dass es für jeden Tag 1600 Tickets gibt. Der Verkauf beginnt Morgens um 08:30 und man sollte früh dort sein wenn man am gleichen Tag noch hoch will, denn die Tickets sind ziemlich schnell ausverkauft. Wir sind nicht auf die Brücke hoch gefahren und haben lieber die Aussicht von unten genossen. Stattdessen sind wir einen Tag später auf die Aussichtsplattform des Fernsehturmes KL Tower gefahren. Hier hat man nicht nur eine tolle Aussicht über die Stadt mit Blick auf die Twin Tower. Zur Mittagszeit gibt es auf der Restaurant-Ebene ein Lunch Buffet, bei dem man mit ca. 20€ pro Person ein durchaus preiswertes „All you can eat“ Erlebnis mit sagenhaftem Ausblick genießen kann.

Während unseres Aufenthaltes in Kuala Lumpur konnten wir die Uhr ziemlich genau nach dem Wetter stellen. Gegen 16:00 – 16:30 Uhr kam der Regen, jeden Tag! Teilweise mit so heftigen Donnerschlägen, wie wir sie in Deutschland noch nie erlebt haben. Nach ca. 1 Std riss der Himmel dann wieder auf und der Abendhimmel sah aus als wäre nichts passiert. Wir sind demnach immer sehr früh aufgestanden, um genug Zeit bei trockenem Wetter zu haben.

Wer ein wenig Zeit mit nach Kuala Lumpur bringt, sollte auf jeden Fall auch dem Butterfly Park einen Besuch abstatten. Hier sieht man jede Menge tropische Falter, die überall um einen herum flattern. Auch der Bird Park ist seinen Eintritt wert. Hier gibt es eine Artenvielfalt, die sich sehen lassen kann. Die Tiere sind nicht in Käfige gesperrt und haben unter einem riesigen Netz jede Menge Platz, um frei herumfliegen zu können.
